IEE International Office is delighted to inform students and staff about the successful grant application under the Erasmus+ programme call for proposals (Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals). The new mobility project aims to strengthen cooperation between the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences and the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in the thematic area of power supply and energy management.
Project coordinator Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences is a modern German university in the middle of North Rhine-Westphalia that offers market- and practice-oriented study courses and plenty of space for student work, communication, teaching, and research.
The academic relations with the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences were established in 2019 when the universities signed the Memorandum of Understanding. Thanks to this partnership and with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service, IEE successfully implemented a study visit to Germany for the group of students.
The new project will help the involved universities to contribute to German-Ukrainian cooperation for the practice-oriented and advanced education of power engineers. The main goals are:
- to establish new and cultivate existing contacts between students and academic staff of both universities,
- to impart subject-related knowledge in the field of power engineering and energy management,
- to enable Ukrainian students to gain a better understanding of economic, political and cultural life in Germany with the main focus on the energy industry transformation.
